Fusing Form & Functionality

To reimagine the Dauphin online brand, we created a design that employs tasteful whitespace and a modern typeface. The new homepage features a large slideshow with beautiful images of Dauphin products in their natural environments. And, as you scroll, a simple image-based interface appears to search products by category. Other pages follow suit with an emphasis on high-quality images and ease of navigation to maintain a consistent look and feel.

Product Filtering

With the design phase complete, our developers began the monumental task of coding the products filtering system. By far the most complex area of the site, the goal was to make it simple for users to find exactly what they want through filtering. This required setting up relationships between products, product families, product styles, and features on the backend. Then, we created a Products section that allows website users to filter results by category, style, family, and features.

CMS, Simplified

Ada, our proprietary content management system, is ultra-intuitive, making it a breeze for clients to use. In Dauphin’s case, its old CMS was nearly nonfunctional and knowledge of HTML was required to make any updates. For Dauphin, Ada was custom developed with product organization and asset management in mind. Once developed, it had our client exclaiming jokingly, “We’ve got such a nice backend!”

Making Assets Valuable

In many ways, Dauphin’s former website left a vast amount of its content underserved. Dauphin’s downloadable assets were extremely difficult to find and didn’t function properly when discovered. Lform integrated an easy-to-spot Resources area where users now have the ability to download a variety of documents in various categories. This not only made these assets for distributors accessible, but valuable—just as originally intended.
